PONTIAC, MI-Compton's Quality Group Inc. has signed a five-year lease for 15,000 sf of space to support its business expansion and relocation from Auburn Hills. The company, which opened in 2002, is an ISO-9000-certified sorting, packaging and delivery service.

The property, a freestanding industrial building located at 591 Bradford St., is owned by Detroit-based RJL Development, LLC, and was offered at a quoted lease rate of $5.50 per sf, triple net, annually. The actual rate of the transaction could not be obtained by press time.

The landlord was represented by Chuck Ginster and Jeffrey Buckler, both of whom are with Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Detroit's office. The tenant was represented by L.M.I. Capitani, also in Detroit.

According to Buckler, vice president with Grubb & Ellis' industrial group, the property was built in about 1986. "The tenant took it as is, with no improvements necessary," he tells GlobeSt.com. He adds that Comcast had been in the space prior to the transaction.
