ATLANTA-McDonald Development Co., a 16-year-old firm that has developed and managed 30 million sf of industrial product in the Southeast, is beefing up its operational team with three new hires.

John Downing, formerly with Highwoods Properties, will be marketing director. His annual production has placed him in Naiop's Million Dollar Club five years running. Eisele comes to McDonald from Kajima Construction Services and will be senior project manager in the construction division. Richard S. Wright joins the firm from Dallas-based Simmons Co. and is a project engineer. He manages large-scale projects for McDonald, such as the construction of hhgregg stores in Greenville and Columbia, SC.

Downing, Eisele and Wright will work with Todd A. Staley, vice president of construction. Staley coordinates activity between McDonald Development and McDonald Construction Services, particularly build-to-suit projects and multi-tenant buildings throughout Georgia and Florida.

In metro Atlanta, McDonald is developing SouthPark, a planned two-million-sf, 358-acre industrial campus at Interstate 675 and Anvil Block Road near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Clayton County. The company is also developing Southmeadow Distribution Center, a planned six-building, 1.2-million-sf, 354-acre multi-tenant complex near the airport.
