The transaction was arranged by Matthew D. Kirby, vice president, and Andrew B. Zezas, president, of Real Estate Strategies Corp., based in Kenilworth. The sale price was not released.

"The prosecutor's office was seeking expansion space for its operations center, currently located in downtown Paterson," Kirby says. "The needed a single facility within Passaic County that could accommodate their present needs and expansion plans.

The county is set to renovate the building to ready it for occupancy. Used until recently by Symrise as part of its US customer service operations, including warehousing and distribution, the building contains a combination of offices, cold storage, warehouse and loading space. Before Symrise's occupancy, the building was used for the manufacture of railroad freight care undercarriages.
