In April, the institute, founded in 1978 and touted as the largest court reporting school in Texas, will move into 1341 W. Mockingbird Lane from 8585 N. Stemmons Freeway. Russ Johnson, leasing vice president for Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co., says the institute is a great addition to Mockingbird Towers. He says the institute's administrators were drawn to the building because of its easy ingress/egress, proximity to Downtown Dallas, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Love Field plus an above-average parking ratio. "Mockingbird Towers was a great fit for the learning center," he says.
The office space is quoted at $12 per sf to $14.50 per sf. The TCC team of Johnson and Barbara Bennett are courting tenants for 207,791 sf of available space in the 448,761-sf towers.
The 12-story Mockingbird Towers, owned by Spire Realty Group LP of Houston, provides views of the medical corridor and CBD. It is close to shopping, entertainment and more than 10 restaurants are within a block of the building. A DART bus station is at the corner of the building, making it a transit-oriented development.
