"The rush of new business demonstrates that the office market environment in Central Florida remains strong," Schrago says. The brokers' largest leases in Orange County were an 82,000-sf contract for six years to Brighthouse Networks in suburban Maitland and an 81,000-sf lease for an estimated five years to Lennar/US Home at Southhall Center in Maitland.

Their other Orange County deals included Clear Channel's 7,000-sf expansion in Millenia Lakes, southwest Orlando, for five years and Custom Staffing's healthcare division expansion at Pembrook Commons. That 5,000-sf lease was also for an estimated five years. A total 175,000 sf was leased in Orange County.

In Seminole County, Caligiuri-Schrago brokered a total 95,000 sf. Their largest lease was 58,000 sf for seven years to McGraw Hill for an FCAT testing center in Lake Emma Corporate Park. Progressive Insurance also signed an estimated seven-year lease for 18,000 sf at Northpoint I. ParkerVision signed a 12,500-sf renewal for an estimated 10 years at Northpoint II.

Paul Ellis, TCC's North Florida area director, says his tenant representation team also manages an additional 425,000 sf of leased space scheduled to close by year end.
