In the newly created position, Finnell is expected to identify hotel sites, perform due diligence on potential acquisitions and solicit hotel management contracts, Cerrone says. "He brings a tremendous depth of experience in hotel development to our company," Cerrone says. "His expertise and market knowledge comes at the perfect time to help Sivica Grow and expand to its full potential." Sivica manages 14 properties in metro Atlanta and the Southeast.
He began his hospitality industry career as a director of marketing for Marriott Hotels & Resorts; worked as a senior consultant for Laventhol & Horwath, a CPA and hotel consulting firm; and served as director of market planning for Holiday Inn Worldwide.
Finnell holds a degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University.
