EDISON, NJ-Rand Direct Inc. has signed a lease for the entire 156,000-sf industrial building at 11 Kilmer Rd. here. The locally based company, which makes and packages point-of-purchase displays for its parent company, the Teaneck-based Rand Display International, will use the building for the packaging and distribution of its products.The transaction was arranged by Charles Fern and Joel Lubin, executive vice presidents and principals at Lee & Klatskin Associates of Teterboro and Edison, and Robert Sager, the firm's senior vice president. The terms of the signing were not released. The building is owned by ProLogis.The signing is one of two recently engineered by the Lee & Klatskin trio, totaling 196,000 sf. In the other deal, Sabert Corp. took immediate occupancy of 40,000 sf at 183 International Rd., another ProLogis property located in this Middlesex County community. The tenant is a Sayreville-based maker of plastic containers, primarily for the foodserve industry. Sabert will use the site for distribution of finished products.
