GlobeSt.com UPDATE: Fan Pier Developer Names CBRE Exclusive Agent

BOSTON-The new owner of Fan Pier replaces the real estate brokerage firm of Spaulding & Slye with CB Richard Ellis in a move that gives CBRE the sole duty for leasing up the project's office component. The $1.2-billion project was recently acquired by the Fallon Co.

William Barrack, a principal with Spaulding & Slye, tells GlobeSt.com that the real estate firm remains supportive of the waterfront project. "It is arguably the best development site in North America and will give the market some needed product in 2009 and 2010.

Barrack says news of the firm's termination was not unexpected. "It was no surprise that the new owner would want to put a new team together," says Barrack. Fallon could not be reached for comment at deadline.
