The company plans a move-in within the next few months following revisions to the 2005-constructed building at 22430 N. 18th Dr. It was on the market for $108 per sf.
"They'll have a small showroom component with a warehouse behind it," says Rick Collins, an associate with Phoenix-based Ross Brown Partners Inc., who represented the buyer in the transaction. The seller, Southwest Property Ventures, was self-represented in the deal.
Collins tells GlobeSt.com that United Refrigeration had scoured the market for several months, only to learn that the type of property it required was difficult to find. "Rising land and construction costs in Deer Valley made it prohibitive to construct a small, freestanding building at a reasonable price," he adds. The appeal of the just-purchased property, he continues, was its proximity to the major thoroughfares. Additionally, the location is attractively landscaped, representing a park-like setting.
