The casinos failed to prepare statistical reports, properly complete variance investigations and maintain surveillance tapes to conduct those investigations, as well as other accounting irregularities from the time the casinos changed ownership from January 2005 through June, according documents supplied by the commission.
Mardi Gras was fined $200,000; Golden Gates, $50,000, and Golden Gulch, $20,000, as part of the stipulations and agreements reached between the casinos and the Division of Gaming, approved by the commission. The casinos also agreed to follow-up measure to ensure future compliance, the commission notes.
