BRIGHTON, MI-Global Tan Inc. of Saginaw will be browning more bodies in the metro area, thanks to the inking of a 3,200-sf, five-year lease at Brighton Crossing, a 16,000-sf inline retail shopping center.

The transaction represents Global Tan's eighth location in the Detroit area, and the opening of the new outlet. The store is located at 9968 East Grand River, and is scheduled to open its doors in January.

"We're working with them on a couple of other sites," notes Tjader Gerdom, associate broker/vice president, retail division, of Insite Commercial Group/TCN Worldwide's Southfield office.

Though Gerdom and Insite colleague Chris Jonna represented the landlord, Brighton Crossing, LLC in the transaction, Gerdom tells GlobeSt.com that the tenant approached him for assistance on additional leases in the area. He adds that nothing is under negotiation for Global Tan at this time.

Brighton Crossing, a shadow-anchored Kroger center, was completed late 2005, and has 4,800 sf remaining. Tenants in the center include Hallmark, Sprint and Charter Bank. The quoted lease rate is $24 per sf, triple net, annually, with separate TIs. Gerdom says that Global Tan took the space as is, but "concessions were given to do a build-out."
