ATLANTA-Locally based Lane Management LLC, the property management arm of multifamily developer Lane Co., has created a vice president of business development position and tapped Drew Goldman of General Electric Commercial Finance to fill the post. Lane Management president Bob Landis says Goldman "will seek platform-acquisition opportunities while also pursuing strategic ventures in partnership with other full-service real estate entities, including developers, owners, managers and financial institutions."

Goldman joins Lane from the Norwalk, CT office of GE where he was assistant vice president of business development. "I left GE to enter the commercial real estate field, and Lane provided me a bridge into the industry, while allowing me to leverage past experiences," Goldman tells GlobeSt.com.

Goldman spent six years at General Electric. He has also worked at JP Morgan Securities, NationsBank and GE Capital. GE Human Resources manager Patricia Lecouras did not comment on Goldman's departure.

Lane Co.'s divisions are Lane Investment and Development, Lane Realty Construction, CondoLane and Lane Asset Management.
