He is the former chairman and CEO of one-time locally based Legg Mason Real Estate Services Inc. NorthMarq acquired that Legg Mason affiliate and its 17 eastern regional offices in September 2003. D'Alessio operates from the NorthMarq office here.
Prior to his positions with Legg Mason and NorthMarq, he was EVP of the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp. and executive director of the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority. He now serves as chairman of the board of Plymouth Meeting-based Brandywine Realty Trust and on the boards of Exelon Corp., Independence Blue Cross, Point Five Technologies Inc. and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
His position as a PREIT trustee takes the number of independent trustees on the locally based retail REIT's 13-member board to eight. He will maintain this position until PREIT's next annual shareholder meeting. At that time, his name will appear on the ballot with other class B trustees for election to a three-year term.
