"Trent Rice has been a leader in the Denver office market for years," says Rick Calhoun, senior managing director for CBRE's Denver market area. "With his contribution, there is no doubt that CB Richard Ellis is the dominant force in tenant representation in the Denver market."

Rice has been an office-leasing specialist for more than 15 years. Last year, he successfully completed more than 70 leases encompassing more than 200,000 rentable sf and more than 60,000 sf of early tenant lease renewals, lease "roll backs," and extensions. Rice's primary focus over the past 15 years has been in office leasing in the Denver Central Business District. Representatives from Frederick Ross Co. could not be reached for comment about Rice's departure.

"CB Richard Ellis is the industry leader with an unsurpassed platform and I am excited at the opportunity to help them expand their presence throughout Denver," says Rice, now a senior vice president at CBRE. "CB Richard Ellis has been a great competitor for years and I could not be more pleased to be joining the team."

Trent follows new recruits to the CBRE Downtown Denver office, Sam DePizzol, Brian Wells, Don Fitzmartin, Adam Barron and Cuica Montoya, who, as GlobeSt.com previously reported, came from the Denver office of the Staubach Co. The team will collaborate on a variety of projects but focus primarily on downtown office tenant representation. According to Calhoun, the Denver office market is seeing increases in tenant demand.

"Users from around the country are looking to Denver as a possible relocation or expansion market, and Downtown is experiencing more activity than any other office district in the metro area," Calhoun says.
