HUMBLE, TX-Dollar General plans to stick around the area for another three years with the signing of a 10,000-sf lease at the 51,787-sf Atascocita Market Square.According to Shawn Ackerman with Henry S. Miller Commercial's Houston office, given the financial challenges Dollar General has undergone within the past quarter, getting the lease signed at the center, was a good way to end the year. Ackerman says the deal works for both the landlord, Houston-based Atascocita Market Square LP, who Ackerman represented, and the tenants. The property is located at 8080 FM 1960 Rd. East."They took the space as is, no TIs," Ackerman adds. "They'd already been there about 10 years, so we were able to work out something to keep them there awhile longer."He tells GlobeSt.com that the quoted lease rate is $.40 per sf, triple net, and the deal for Dollar General was done at a market rate. "We're now about 85% leased now," he notes, adding that while nothing is pending for further leases, activity should resume following the first of the year.
