Executive Watch

Perspective

Jonathan A. Schein - President & CEO - Real Estate Media - GlobeSt.com1/3/06: Happy New Year! May 2006 be as fruitful as 2005. For the good times to continue, stability will be key. Housing prices must not fall precipitously and interest rates must not rise too rapidly. Fuel prices, while never returning to pre-2005 prices, can't hit the highs of last year without lasting financial repercussions. American consumers must continue their love affair with shopping but not overextend themselves any further than they already have. The stock market remains dyspeptic so that real estate still remains a primary investment alternative. Congress continues its 24-month election cycle so they can't mess things up too badly. In all, it promises to be a pretty good year. Good luck.
