BOCA RATON-Agilysys, a computer distributor and business software developer with over $1 billion in sales, will relocate its corporate executive offices from the Cleveland area to the Mizner Park Office Tower in Boca Raton by September.

The company will make the Rouse Co. and ING Clarion's 163,818-sf class A office tower, located at 225 NE Mizner Blvd. in the mixed-use Mizner Park Center, their temporary home before settling on a permanent location in Boca Raton. The exact square footage and the leasing agent were not disclosed.

The company, which recently expanded into Hong Kong and China, will continue to be incorporated in Ohio, but will exit its Mayfield Heights, OH facility.

"Boca Raton is ideally located in the rapidly growing technology corridorof southeastern Florida," says Arthur Rhein, Agilysys chairman, president and CEO. "Our board concurred that relocating our executive offices to this area would offer better access to our markets and to executive talent in the technology industry." The move also reflects the company's emphasis on a "virtual" work environment, Rhein says, and the increasing amount of domestic and international travel required of our senior executives.

In addition to its core business as a distributor and reseller of computer network hardware, Agilysys also develops specialized software for retailers, hoteliers and restaurants. The company, which has more than 1,450 employees in total between the US, Canada and China, will continue to maintain operating offices in Cleveland, as well as Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Greenville, SC.
