Benchmark has appointed Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker, to market the Halkins estate in Belgravia for euro 102 million ($123 million). The estate comprises 380,000 sf of retail and residential property in about 50 buildings. It includes a Waitrose supermarket and the upmarket Amaya Indian restaurant in Motcomb Street, Knightsbridge, as well as designer boutiques including one by Christian Louboutin, the Parisian shoe designer. It also includes a Patisserie Valerie and about 85 flats and nine houses.

The price tag, which represents a yield of just under 5%, is relatively low because Benchmark is only selling the long leasehold interest. Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster's property company, owns the freehold to the land.

Benchmark has also put up for sale the headquarters of Yahoo!, the Internet search company, at 125 Shaftesbury Ave., through Knight Frank for more than euro 141 million ($170 million).

Benchmark was taken over by GE Capital in 2004. It was founded in 1996 by Nigel Kempner who built the group into a West End property specialist focusing on a portfolio located within central London.
