FORT MYERS, FL-Home KO, an upscale furnishings retailer, has inked a 10-year lease for 15,000 sf, and Enteman's leased 3,000 sf for five years in Page Plaza. The 95,077-sf center, which was built in 1990, is fully leased.
The furnishings store replaces a former dollar store, "which is no longer suited to the demographics of the area," Jack Sitt, a partner with New York City-based Sitt Asset Management, the property's owner, tells GlobeSt.com. "As leases come up for renewal, we're replacing some former tenants with national companies." Without disclosing the value of either new leases, Sitt says the asking rent rate is $30 per sf, "up considerably in the past few years. This is one of the best centers in this area."
Sitt negotiated for the owner. Robert Pekol of the local office of VIP Commercial represented the new tenants.
The center is located on US Highway 41, north of Boy Scout Drive, adjacent to Sam's Club Plaza and across from a Wal-Mart in Page Field Commons. It consists of an L-shaped, 71,717-sf strip and two outparcels of 15,376 sf and 7,984 sf, respectively. Among the 21 Page Plaza tenants are Office Max, Three Fisherman Seafood, Sweet Bean Café, Skyline Chili, Advance Auto Parts, Kingdom Buffet and CitiFinancial.
