In a prepared statement, Shanley says he is leaving "to pursue career interests more entrepreneurial in nature," but did not say whether he already has something teed up. He did not return a Tuesday afternoon phone call seeking further detail. Also unavailable for comment Tuesday afternoon were Miller and Andrew Ratner, C&W's executive vice president for the West Coast Region.
"I have always been interested in development," he says in the statement. "The commercial real estate experience I've gained over the years, coupled with the improvement in the market conditions, presents me with an excellent opportunity to pursue entrepreneurial interests."
Shanley held the managing director post for six years, wherein he was responsible for implementation of the company's performance. Prior to that, he served for two years as C&W Oregon's director of asset services, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of properties and growing the service line's client base.
Burns was operations manager for C&W Oregon when he had to move out of state in 2003. Then, as now, she assumes management of all administrative services and office operations for the Oregon branch.
