Indeed, Benton and Brown, who left CB Richard Ellis to form the office, have been its top producers since it was founded. They specialize in tenant and landlord representation, lease disposition, and corporate and international advisory.
Knights also worked at CB Richard Ellis prior to co-founding the office, doing stints in Paris, New York and San Francisco as an advisor to US and foreign clients on global assignments. In addition to being a licensed real estate broker in California, he is a member of the United Kingdom's Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Benton tells GlobeSt.com there is a lot of activity in the market right now. "Whether I'm talking to clients or colleagues, everybody is excited about the volume of work they have," he says. "Landlords are excited because they are watching rental rates tick closer to pro formas and tenants are excited because they are growing."
More than a few tenants recently that have honed in on plug-and-play space, says Benton. "We have two sublease spaces with good term on them and we have multiple offers creating competitive situations on both."
New York-based Newmark Knight Frank and London-headquartered Knight Frank formed a global partnership in January 2006. The international firm operates over 140 offices on five continents.
