CHATSWORTH, CA-Thibiant International Inc., a manufacturer of products for hair and skin care, has signed a five-year lease for 71,926 sf of a 583,000-sf industrial facility, according to Colliers International. John DeGrinis of Colliers reports that the manufacturer's $2.6-million lease is an expansion that marks the company's fifth manufacturing and distribution facility in the San Fernando Valley.
Thibiant's new space is at 20525 Nordhoff St. The newly signed lease gives the company two options for lease extensions. With the signing of the new deal, Thibiant now operates in 290,000 sf of industrial space in the Valley.
DeGrinis and Patrick DuRoss, also of Colliers International, represented the Thibiant in the lease. Bennett Robinson of CB Richard Ellis represented the property owner, Amir Development Co./Amiscope Properties.
In another recently closed industrial deal, an individual investor bought a fully leased 31,828-sf building at 15094 Bledsoe St. in Sylmar from the Luskin Family Trust of Redondo Beach for $3.2 million. The seller was represented by Ross Thomas of Van Nuys-based Delphi Business Properties, with David Hoffberg of Delphi representing the buyer.
In a City of Industry transaction, Sunpentown International Inc., a wholesale distributor of small home appliances and sporting goods, leased 80,000 sf of industrial space at 21415 Baker Parkway in Grand Crossing. The space, which is within a larger building owned by Majestic Realty Co.-Industry East Land LLC, will house the China-based company's US headquarters and distribution facility.
Sunpentown will be relocating from 30,000 sf in the City of Industry. Rick Sheckter and Ryan Campbell of the San Gabriel Valley office of Grubb & Ellis represented Sunpentown. Majestic Realty was represented internally by Kent Valley and Hank Darnell.
