The City Hall Block, totaling 1.57 acres, sits adjacent to Pioneer Park and two blocks from the Sound Transit commuter rail station, which provides direct linkage to and from Seattle. The block is the centerpiece of the city's overall Civic Center Project, which is aimed at renewing the urban core.
