NEWARK, CA-RonBow Materials Corp. is moving its headquarters here from Hayward. The manufacturer of high-end bathroom sinks and fixtures has signed a 64-month lease for a 125,072-sf facility at 38503 Cherry St., which is near Exit 17 from Interstate 880. The lease is valued at $2.2 million, which translates to about $34,270 per month (27.5 cents per sf).
RonBow manufactures its products in China. It has been distributing the products from Hayward since 2002. The company is moving because it could not find the expansion space it needed in Hayward, says Greig Lagomarsino of Colliers International, who with partners Rob Shannon and Joe Kelly represented RonBow in its lease negotiation.
"For the last three years we have been exploring the US market to determine if the company could excel here," says RonBow president Jason Chen. "Our response has been overwhelming; our products are currently carried by 600 US dealers, and we hope to increase that to more than 1,000 by the end of the year. We needed a bigger facility to manage our growth in product volume."
