In a statement, Jeffrey Fisher, Innkeepers' president and CEO, says Craven "has the depth and breadth of expertise we need in this critical position, including public company and hotel REIT experience, as well as a strong record in banking, finance and accounting. He also has extensive experience in acquisitions, one of the key sources of our external growth."
Memphis-based Addison is an investment firm that specializes in strategic planning, investment analysis and equity and debt financing for start-up and early-stage companies. Prior to Addison, Craven was SVP and chief accounting officer at Independent Bank in Memphis. Before that, he was VP and chief accounting officer for RFS Hotel Investors, a REIT that was acquired by CNL Hotels and Resorts in 2003. Before joining Innkeepers less than a year ago, Riggins held executive-level posts at Interstate for seven years. He is rejoining the company as CFO on April 17.
