Jameson House will have retail and restaurants on the bottom three floors topped by eight floors (77,000 sf) of office space topped by 25 floors of for-sale residential units. Homeowner amenities will include 24-hour concierge service and a touch-screen panel for central home control of the entertainment, lighting, heating and security system in the home.

Jameson Development Corp. first submitted the project to the Vancouver Planning Department in October 2004. City officials approved the project in July 2005. Designed to a LEED Gold standard, the building will generate its own power and have a water recycling system. In addition to a co-generation plant powered by bio-diesel, photovoltaic cells will be employed on the south façade.

Jameson House also will house North America's first fully automated non-pallet car park. A 40-year-old technology widely used in Europe wherein users pull into the secure transfer station, lock the vehicle and with the swipe of a card activate the system. A mechanized shuttle then parks the car in the underground parkade. When the owner is ready to depart, it will take an estimated 90 seconds to retrieve the car.

There will be a total of 131 condominiums ranging in size from 600 sf to 3,551 sf. Most units will be priced between $515,000 and $2.2 million. The project architect and interior designer is London-based Foster and Partners, which was selected in December to design one of the office buildings planned for the World Trade Center site in New York City.
