ATLANTA-Locally based Cousins Properties Inc., traded publicly since 1962 and on the New York Stock Exchange since 1992, is paying regular quarterly dividends on three stock issues.
On its Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, Cousins is paying about 48 cents per share or $1.93 ¾ per share on an annualized basis on May 15 to holders of record on May 1. At this time last year, the company paid 48 cents and $1.93 ¾ on the A stock, as GlobeSt.com previously reported.
On its Series B Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, the REIT is paying about 47 cents per share or nearly $1.88 annually on May 15 to holders of record on May 1. Last year, Cousins paid the same on the B stock.
A Cousins representative tells GlobeSt.com the REIT paid its first Series A dividend in fourth quarter 2003 and its first Series B dividend in first quarter 2005. The quarterly dividends for Series A and B have been paid consecutively since they began.
On its common stock, Cousins hasn't missed paying a quarterly dividend in the last 26 years. The last time Cousins did not pay a common stock dividend was in the fourth quarter of 1979, a company representative tells GlobeSt.com.
