The editorial and creative services team, in conjunction with the site's Editorial Think Tank, a select group of industry leaders who serve as editorial advisors, is overseeing this major upgrade of GlobeSt.com, which in its six years has become recognized as the industry's most widely read and well-respected daily news service.

"This is an important step in the growth of GlobeSt.com," says Michael Desiato, Real Estate Media Network's group managing director. "Over the past six years, GlobeSt.com has established online news as a daily part of this industry's routine. With our new design, we will be setting the bar for years to come--both in terms of journalism and user services."As part of the redesign, GlobeSt.com will introduce Six Breaking regional pages providing news and analysis on the following areas:

  • Global News (Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America);
  • Midwest Breaking (Chicago/Suburban Illinois, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, St. Louis);
  • Northeast Breaking (Baltimore/Suburban Maryland, Boston, Long Island, Central & Northern New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Westchester, Mid-Hudson Valley, Stamford, CT, Washington, DC);
  • Southeast Breaking (Atlanta, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Louisville, Miami, Memphis, Nashville, Orlando, Tampa/St. Petersburg, West Palm Beach);
  • Southwest Breaking (Albuquerque, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, San Antonio, Tucson, Phoenix); and
  • West Breaking (Denver, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, Orange County, Portland, OR, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle).

In terms of the services Desiato referenced, the redesign will encompass a raft of enhancements. These include GlobeStDIRECT, a new interface allowing users to customize editorial content. An additional feature of the new design is Deal Tracker, a weekly subscription-based service (scheduled to debut on June 15) that will compile leasing and sales transactions, all accessible through a searchable database. This new venture takes Real Estate Media into a new arena--data dissemination.
