HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA-The CIM Group of Hollywood has begun construction on its 150-room luxury hotel at the $90 million Strand mixed use project and has named San Francisco-based Joie de Vivre Hospitality to manage the hotel. The Strand in Huntington Beach is taking shape across from the Huntington Beach Pier on Pacific Coast Highway.

In addition to the hotel, the Strand's other three buildings will offer 80,000 sf of ground floor retail with office space above. A subterranean garage below the site will include parking for 470 cars to accommodate the increased number of locals and visitors expected to visit and shop at the hotel and commercial space.

The developers are billing their property as "the first premier boutique hotel on the coast between Laguna Beach and Palos Verdes." The hotel will occupy one of four structures that comprise the Strand, which will link the beach to downtown Huntington Beach.
