Located near a Metra Electric Line station, the site includes the "House of Kicks" entertainment venue, but is likely to see residential and retail redevelopment. "This site offered a tremendous opportunity for development and appealed to a broad range of buyers interested in the potential of the Burnside Corridor," says Mike Nardini, who along with CB Richard Ellis colleague Todd Lippman represented the Gardner family.
"The South Side is very active in adaptive development, especially retail and residential, and this corridor is ripe for a change similar to the activity in Chatham and the Near South."
