ORLANDO-Wood Partners, based in Atlanta, is planning to begin construction in September on a 200-unit condominium development, Intermezzo at the Rialto. The project is part of the Boston-based Wilder Cos.' 350,000-sf mixed use development the Rialto on Sand Lake Road.

Charles Barrus, development partner in the North Florida Division of Wood Partners, tells GlobeSt.com that the project's location is one of its primary attributes. "The project is situated in Spring Lake with the majority of the units having water views. The project's location among the dining and retail offerings along Sand Lake Road, as well as it's immediate access to Interstate 4, are its primary attributes," Barrus says.

The development will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units in a multi-level mid-rise building. Unit features will include private balconies, full-height windows and 10-foot ceilings. Complex amenities will include an infinity pool overlooking Spring Lake; a fitness center and two video gaming areas. All total, the Rialto will contain 120,000 sf of office condominiums, restaurants and retail space.

Sales of the units, which will be handled by Coldwell Banker the Condo Store, will begin this summer. Prices will range from the $300,000s to $550,000. The project is expected to be completed in June 2008.

This is the second project in Orlando for Wood Partners. The company's first, the Solaire at the Plaza condominium tower in Downtown, will open in January. The company plans to develop more projects in the area, Barrus adds.
