MIAMI-Lennar Developers Inc. plans to begin construction in early 2007 of the 274-unit Park Towers at Colonnade at 7240 SW 82nd St.. It is the mixed-use sister project of Colonnade which is under construction nearby.
Park Towers at Colonnade will contain two 10-story towers with 16 floor plans with one-, two- and two-bedroom units with a den. The average size per unit will be 1,350 sf and prices will start in the mid-$300,000s. On the ground level of the complex, there will be 33,461 sf of retail space. CB Richard Ellis will handle sales of the retail units. Corwil Architects Inc. are the architects on the project.
Unit amenities will include imported cabinetry, GE Profile stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and back splashes, Roman tubs and double vanities with cultured marble vanity tops. Complex amenities will include a fitness center with men's and women's locker rooms and steam baths, a courtyard with pool, sundeck and spa. "Both Colonnade and Park Towers at Colonnade are developments that will contribute to the overall economic and business growth in the immediate area," says Fernando Arimon, Lennar division president for Broward and Miami-Dade counties, in a prepared statement.
Lennar Developers director of sales and marketing for Broward and Miami-Dade counties Silva Villaamil tells GlobeSt.com that sales efforts for Park Towers began last week and 15 units were sold. "We're not taking reservations, we're going straight into contracts," Villaamil says.
Villaamil adds that the Colonnade is 90% sold, with the first tower expected to be completed in mid-2007 and the second tower to be completed in fall 2007.
