The American Federation for the Arts, one of the oldest art organizations in the country, purchased the 10,473-sf unit on the 10th floor of the tower. The nonprofit organization is relocating from 41 E 65th St. The Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan purchased a 13,827-sf unit on the third floor. The mission, which joined the United Nations in 1992, is relocating from 866 UN Plaza.
Harry F. Blair, senior managing director, Alexander P. Jinishian, executive managing director, and Greg Wang, associate, of GVA Williams are the exclusive agents for Stahl 3 Dag, LLC. PBS Realty Advisors represented the American Federation of the Arts and P.G. Williamson Group represented the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan. The brokers could not be reached by GlobeSt.com's deadline.
"The American Federation for the Arts was able to purchase the last remaining tower office in the building," comments Blair. "Sales have been robust all year, and there are now only 30,000 sf remaining."
The 30,000-sf block at 3 Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, which includes the entire concourse, partial first and second floor, is described as a building-within-a-building, featuring a private dedicated entrance on 47th Street, very high ceilings, and an internal staircase throughout.
3 Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, located in the heart of the United Nations District, houses the Permanent Missions of the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, the African Union, and the American University of Beirut.
