MIAMI-Beacon Lakes Business Park, a 436-acre suburban campus that San Francisco-based AMB Property Corp. and Flagler-Codina Development plan to grow to a six-million-sf enclave, has signed two tenants to a total 227,586 sf. The park currently has three completed buildings totaling 600,000 sf.
The new tenants are Panalpina Inc. which has leased 192,426 sf at Building 10 and Freight Logistics which rented 35,160 sf at Building 6. Both tenants expect to take occupancy in early 2007. Codina Realty Services Inc., a Flagler-Codina company, handled the leases.
"The size and diversity of these transactions reflect the increasing demand for commercial space in the region," says David C. Albert, vice president of Codina Realty Services. "With the scarcity of developable land in South Florida and the region's robust economic growth, we expect to see continued strong leasing and land acquisition demand at Beacon Lakes from companies needing office and industrial space."
Because of its size, "one of Beacon Lakes' many benefits is its ability to accommodate the expansion needs of its tenants and buyers," says Rafael Romero, a Flagler-Codina vice president, finance and development, and project director for Beacon Lakes. The park's "scale and design enables us to accommodate the present and future needs of companies seeking commercial, industrial and office space."
