With Macquarie's recent expansion in North America, Mark W. Baillie, the company's head of real estate, Europe and North America, says Satterwhite's appointment is a strategic addition to the team as Macquarie Office continues to grow and reposition its US portfolio. "Ross' expertise and terrific track record in the office sector are an excellent addition to Macquarie Real Estate and in particular his skills will be tremendously valuable to the Macquarie Office Trust portfolio in the US," Baillie says.
Satterwhite left Equity Office in 2004 to establish Iron Bridge Capital LLC, a private real estate advisory company. During that time, he was an adviser to Macquarie Office on the Principal America Office Trust portfolio merger in November 2004 and the formation of the Maguire Properties Group joint venture in October 2005.
