FORT MYERS-Developers are formalizing plans for Riverwalk at Sunset, a 52-unit residential development at 2215 First St.
The project is being developed by FM Riverwalk L.P., an entity of Today Realty Advisors, Inc. It will contain townhomes, villas, mid-rise tower residences and penthouses and designed in accordance with the Duany Plan for Downtown Fort Myers Redevelopment. In November 2001, the firm of Duany Plater-Zyberk and Co., led by prominent architect and planner, Andreas Duany, conducted a charrette in Fort Myers to develop the future vision of Downtown. The homes will offer residents views of the Caloosahatchee River without obstructing the view from passersby.
The project is being marketed by Coldwell Banker the Condo Store. Prices for the homes start in the $600,000s. "Our approach to this luxury residential, waterfront community is an attempt to integrate the Fort Myers of old with the grand, fluid design of Andres Duany's vision for downtown Fort Myers," says Today Realty Advisors vice president Lisa Green.
Among unit features will be ceiling heights of at least 11 feet in the townhomes and 12 feet in the condominiums, solar-tinted hurricane resistant glass in all windows and sliding doors and tiled exterior terraces. Building amenities will include a social room with piano bar at the Plaza Level, a disappearing-edge swimming pool and custom brick pavers.
