The new Vans location, at 6550 Katella Blvd. in Cypress, will be the corporate headquarters for the company, which is a part of North Carolina-based VF Corp.'s Outdoor Coalition. Vans was represented by Phil Lombardo of Trammell Crow Co., with landlord bkm Development of Costa Mesa represented by CB Richard Ellis.

The Equity office deals at Main Plaza totaled 27,512 sf and those at Griffin Towers totaled 34,322 sf, according to Frank Campbell, VP of leasing for the office REIT. The leases ranged from 1,682 sf to 8,772 sf at Main Plaza, which is a 570,000-sf project of two twin towers at 1920 Main Plaza and 2010 Main Plaza. The property is part of a 48-acre development near the corner of MacArthur Boulevard and Main Street that is known as the Irvine Concourse.

Griffin Towers is a 540,000-sf office campus consisting of twin 14-story towers at the intersection of the 405 and 55 freeways. The leases there ranged from 1,766 to 8,802 sf.

At another of its Orange County Airport submarket buildings, the 231,000-sf Tower 17 at the corner of Von Karman Avenue and Martin Street, Equity Office began a capital improvements project this summer. The project will upgrade the exterior and interior of the building, which is 88% leased.

The upgrades are scheduled to be completed in October. They will include landscaping, new signage and graphics, updating the parking structure facade and various lobby improvements, according to Campbell.
