DECATUR, GA-Alpharetta-based developer ABG Development LLC plans to begin site work in October on Vintage Heights at Emory, a 64-unit townhome project.
ABG's wholly owned subsidiary, Vintage Homes Georgia LLC, will begin construction on the townhomes in March. Earlier this year ABG purchased the 5.6-acre site at 1760 Clairmont Rd., where the old 57-unit Montville Apartments stood, from the Columns Group of Atlanta for $7.1 million, according to ABG Development director Ron Morgan.
The four-story townhomes will range in size from 3,200 sf to 3,850 sf. The units will be designed to accommodate an elevator and all will have rooftop terraces. Sales of the units will begin in the first quarter with prices ranging from the low $600,000s to $700,000. The project is expected to be completed in mid-2008.
Vintage Heights at Emory is one of eight projects ABG currently has under development in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. The projects have a total of 1,500 units with a market value of approximately $190 million. Major investors in ABG include the Cecil B. Day Foundation, Inc.; the Zeist Foundation, Inc.; First Colony Financial Corp. and Westplan Investors, Inc.
