Richard Bowers and Co./TCN Worldwide vice presidents Charles McDonald and Tim Moresco and Pamela Title, managing director of Murray Hill Properties/TCN Worldwide represented the tenant. SAE is an international school with locations in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami and Nashville, among other locations. TCN had been working with the school since 2004 to find a suitable location. "They had been focused on a site on the West Coast," McDonald tells GlobeSt.com. "This lease has been a long time coming."
Among reasons the location was selected was that the building in located in the heart of Downtown and is surrounded by many area amenities, such as Centennial Olympic Park, Peachtree Center, Rialto Theatre and Philips Arena. The building also sits atop a Marta station. "There are many housing options available for students in the area at different price points," McDonald adds.
The school is planning a fall 2007 opening, but must complete extensive renovations to the building prior to opening, Moresco tells GlobeSt.com. Rather than be connected directly to exterior walls or columns of the building, there must be space between the interior and interior walls to minimize sound and vibration which can interfere with recording. "The detail is far greater than it would be for office space," Moresco says.
