MIAMI-Locally based developer J. Milton & Associates has begun work on St. Tropez, a 234-unit condominium at 200 Sunny Isles Blvd., just west of Collins Avenue and east of the Intracoastal Waterway in Sunny Isles Beach. The project contains three 19- and 20-story towers with two- and three-bedroom units, 24 penthouses, 22 custom-designed waterfront suites and 18 lanai units. The units range in size from 1,600 sf to 3,700 sf and are 80% sold. The project is expected to be completed in February 2008.The complex is the work of a number of local-area designers. The towers were designed by architect Kobi Karp. They will sit on a common base that houses a pedestrian promenade featuring the City of Sunny Isles Towne Center. The center is slated to include upscale shopping and cafes. Axioma Architects designed the base and town center and the Howard Design Group was the project's interior designer.
Among reasons developers are pursuing the project is the growth experienced recently in Sunny Isles Beach. Situated between Miami and Fort Lauderdale just south of Aventura and north of Bal Barbour, it is easily accessible to major highways and has been the site of several upscale condominium projects and other development.
