Hunt tells GlobeSt.com that the company recently acquired four development parcels throughout the Keys and he will be assisting the company with development efforts for those properties. The properties are Playa Cristal, a 12-acre property in Key Largo which is approved for a 90-unit residential resort with 20 boat slips. The Seaglass & Wrecker's Cay Marina is a proposed 226-unit hotel, on a 24-acre island in Islamorada with over 5,000 feet of waterfront. The 12-acre King's Pointe Marina and two-acre Harbor House sites in Key West are slated for 32-unit townhome projects.

"The partners recently bought some beautiful properties which will be developed into resort properties," Hunt says. "I'll be helping with the planning and thought processes on these."

Hunt joined Holiday Corp. in 1971 as a management trainee and rose through the ranks to become president of Holiday Inn Hotels, where he was responsible for operations, development and marketing of more than 150 owned and 3,000 franchised hotels. In 1999, he was promoted to vice chairman of Bass Hotels & Resorts and was responsible for corporate development, human resources, corporate affairs, performance planning and special projects.

In addition to being chief information officer, he served as co-chairman of the company's business technology board. "We are extremely honored to have someone like Craig join the Cortex team in such as influential leadership position," says Atwell, who serves as the company's COO. "Craig brings with him an immense credibility in the industry and a caliber of loyalty that is rare today."
