TUSTIN, CA-The Coreland Cos. has expanded its regional management team with the hiring of Susan Szabo as a regional real estate manager for the company's portfolio of primarily retail and mixed-use properties in Orange County. Szabo previously served as a general manager for Pan Pacific Retail Properties in Irvine, where she managed more than two million sf of space at 10 neighborhood shopping centers with 310 tenants..
Szabo, who will be based in Coreland Cos.' Tustin office, will be responsible for all facets of real estate management for the portfolio, including physical operations, tenant relations, lease negotiations, budgeting, reporting and construction management. The portfolio she will manage will consist of approximately 500,000 sf.

As reported recently on GlobeSt.com, Coreland has been strengthening and enlarging its management staff in preparation for expanding into new markets.
The Tustin-based company has eight offices throughout California and plans to add several new offices in the next 24 months, including locations outside of the state in major markets in the Western U.S., according to Patrick Galentine, Coreland's EVP and co-founder. Coreland's portfolio of properties under management includes approximately 11 million sf of retail, office and industrial space.
Szabo, in addition to her position at Pan Pacific, has also served in property management positions for other firms throughout her career, including Regency Centers, a subsidiary of Regency Realty Corp. In her Regency post she managed more than one million sf of neighborhood shopping centers in Southern California.
