Mount was most recently head of franchise and management development in the US, Canada and the Caribbean for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. At Sage, he is a senior vice president of acquisitions.
Nordahl previously was a principal with Watermark Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on the hospitality sector. Nordahl was in charge of all acquisition and disposition activity.
Sage EVP Ken Geist says the duo will play pivotal roles in sourcing high-yielding investment prospects as the company attempts to double its acquisitions portfolio by 2010.
As part of its strategy, Sage, in partnership with Wave Development LLC and Hexagon Investments, is acquiring several business class hotels and adding to them a water park, which it hopes will keep the hotels busy during the weekends when business travel is slow.
