WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA-Developer TR Funding of Westlake Village plans a new 10,000-sf retail center for a one-acre site near the Westlake Auto Mall, according to Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services, the listing agent for the property. Westcord president Tony Principe reports that the $6.5-million project will be designed to accommodate tenants ranging from 5,000 sf to 10,000 sf.

Principe, who is marketing the building, says that it will feature 32-foot high ceilings and will also have the potential to add a full second floor mezzanine. Such a design would accommodate a 20,000-sf user, possibly a furniture company, he points out.

The project site, between Westlake Boulevard and Hampshire Road, is one of the busiest retail neighborhoods of the city, Principe adds. The building will be uniquely positioned at the front of the property, with on-site parking in the rear to capture the busy Thousand Oaks Boulevard traffic. The building was designed by Neal Scribner of Thousand Oaks.
