Plans call for Mirabella to have 281 units, including 224independent living residences, 16 assisted living apartments, 20skilled nursing private rooms and 21 special care private rooms.The development also will include clinic and research space,various amenities and social areas, and 244 parking spaces.
PRS, a non-profit corporation, plans to begin construction inspring 2008, with completion in summer or early fall 2010.Construction is expected to be handled by Hoffman Construction Co.and the design by Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects. Bothcompanies are based in Portland.
As part of the agreement, OHSU and PRS hope to tap into thecommunity's residents to study the physical, social, cognitive,psychological, environmental dimensions of aging, with the goalbeing improved care for elders.
