Microsoft's sales staff currently totals about 200 people andoccupies approximately 45,000 sf at 1 Market St., or about 225 sfper person. At that average of 200 sf per person, the company couldhouse closer to 315 people at Westfield Centre.
Westfield completed a $460-million renovation and expansion ofits mall near Union Square in September. The work tripled the sizeof the mall to 1.5 million sf, including approximately 245,000 sfof office space.
The fifth and sixth floors are leased to San Francisco StateUniversity, which made a 15-year commitment for its graduatebusiness programs and took occupancy this month. The businessschool was previously located in 425 Market St.
