JACKSONVILLE, FL-Cherry Hill, NJ-based warehousing company National Distribution Centers LP has signed a 221,000-sf multi-year lease for space with the Majestic International Tradeport at 13398 International Parkway. National Distribution Center will occupy space within a 319,000-sf building.
Majestic International Tradeport, owned by City of Industry, CA-based Majestic Realty Co., is part of the 425-acre Jacksonville International trade area. When full completed, the Tradeport will consist of three buildings totaling 833,000 sf.
"We are pleased to have one of our newest distribution centers housed in this first-rate property near the Jacksonville Airport," says National Distribution Centers senior vice president and general counsel Josiah Knapp. "Majestic houses National Distribution Centers in several other locations and they have been a great partner for our company."
Brett Tremaine represented the landlord in the deal and CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant. Commerce Construction director Randy Simmering tells GlobeSt.com that National Distribution Centers chose the location because the company was already leasing space in a nearby building owned by Majestic Realty. The company had further need for space in the Jacksonville so Majestic provided them with a new building and additional space.
National Distribution Centers, an affiliate of NFI Industries, operates more than 14 million sf of contract and public warehousing space in more than 50 facilities. The company, which also offers inventory management, final stage assembly, pick and pack, industrial engineering, quality assurance and shipping services, is also located in several Majestic Realty Co. sites in Southern California.
