BROOKLYN, NY-Park Slope's 4th Avenue is getting a revitalizing boost thanks to the 113-unit condo project called NOVO. The 12-story luxury building is being developed by Boymelgreen Developers, the Katan Group and Tona Development & Construction. The Corcoran Group is exclusively marketing the units.
Over the years Park Slope has begun to revive, although the 4th Avenue area was slower to change than most of the area. "Park Slope has evolved into one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the city, and the growth of Fourth Avenue is the next step in that evolution," says Corcoran's Joyce Kafati-Batarse. Now, restaurants, bars and retailers have begun locating along the avenue, which will see its first residential building completed this fall with NOVO. A Boymelgreen spokeswoman cites the new Sheep Station, Mule Café and 4th Avenue Pub as just a few examples of retailers that have entered the area.
The project, which broke ground in the summer of 2005 and is slated to complete this fall, offers a number of amenities to residents including a private garden, resident's lounge, children's playroom, a multi-purpose room and gym. The building contains one-, two- and three-bedroom units as well as nine corner penthouses, ranging in size from 416 sf to 1,595 sf.
The spokeswoman for Boymelgreen would not release the construction cost of the luxury project. A one-bedroom, one-bath unit sells for $309,000 according to Corcoran's site, while a three-bedroom, two-bath condo is priced at $1,055,000.
