Klein will work closely with senior managing director and branch manager Tere Blanca, who has been leading Cushman & Wakefield's South Florida regional office since September 2003. "Hank Klein is a highly respected leader in South Florida and will be a terrific complement to the prolific group of individuals in this region," says Cushman & Wakefield CEO of the Americas Tony Marano.

Since 2003, the number of Cushman & Wakefield's South Florida offices has grown from two to four; they cover areas from Miami to Palm Beach Gardens. There are 37 brokers in the four offices, 10 of which have joined the firm in the past two years and completed $2 billion in transaction volume during 2006.

Due to rapid growth in Southwest Florida, including Lee and Collier counties, the firm recently opened an office in Fort Myers. The office, which has seven employees, is led by executive director Gary Tasman.

Klein is chairman elect for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce for the 2007-2008 year. He assumes the position June 1. He is currently vice chairman of the board of trustees for Miami Dade College, a position he has held for eight years. He also serves on the Miami Dade/Broward board of directors for Goodwill Industries, is a member of the board of directors of the Dade Community Foundation and a member of the board of directors of Fiduciary Trust International of the South, a Franklin Templeton Co.
