The retail group of Colliers Spectrum Cauble represented the landlord, Shoppes at Henry Crossing LLC, in the transaction. Ruth Coan, of the Shopping Center Group, represented LA Fitness. The fitness company plans to build its latest concept on the site, which will feature a swimming pool and other amenities. It plans to take occupancy in nine to 12 months, says Jennifer McAfee, of Colliers Spectrum Cauble.
Located at the intersection of Jonesboro and Foster roads at Interstate 75, the shopping center is anchored by a 16-screen Great Escapes theater. "The center boasts excellent visibility from Interstate 75, with visible signage opportunities available," McAfee says. "There is also a great deal of synergy around the Jonesboro/Interstate 75 corridor."
Henry County, where the center is located, is ranked fourth among the US Census Top 10 counties for housing growth in the past year and is among the Top 20 counties for population growth. When compared to other counties over the past three years, Henry County ranked second in the nation in regards to its housing growth rate of 7.6%, according to Colliers Spectrum Cauble.
